The award ceremony for the first Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Selection was held on October 29, 2020, simultaneously in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Macau. 78 people stood out among 500 candidates and won six major awards, including Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs. The Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Zhang Jianzong, Deputy Director of the Joint Office of the Communist Party of China, Tan Tieniu, and Alliance Chairman Cai Guanshen attended the award ceremony.
The award ceremony for the first Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Selection was held on October 29, 2020, in conjunction with Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Macau. The aim was to explore the strengths and potential of young entrepreneurs in the region, and to recognize their contributions and achievements to the Greater Bay Area.
The Hong Kong venue for this event is located at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The selection event received over 500 application forms in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Among them, 78 young entrepreneurs were selected for six major awards, including Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs and the Best Entrepreneurship Award for Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs. The Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Zhang Jianzong, the Deputy Director of the Hong Kong Joint Office, Tan Tieniu, and Cai Guanshen, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the founding chairman of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneur Alliance, attended the Hong Kong conference and delivered speeches.
During his profound speech, Cai Guan stated that his first stop in responding to the national call to support reform and opening up and investment northward over 40 years ago was in the Greater Bay Area. Therefore, today, seeing the achievements of over 70 outstanding young entrepreneurs in various fields such as finance, technology, cultural and creative industries, his heart is filled with joy. What makes him even more happy is that he sees young people from the Greater Bay Area and even other places willing to take root and grow in the most dynamic places in China, and contribute their youth and talent to China's takeoff and common prosperity of the world at the intersection of China's "dual cycle" development.
During his speech, Zhang Jianzong stated that today's award ceremony will be held in conjunction with the three cities, marking an important moment in deepening the integration of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao towards a new milestone.
Vice Mayor of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government Ai Xuefeng and Director of the Economic and Financial Department of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government Li Weinong delivered speeches in Shenzhen and Macau respectively, and congratulated the winners.
