The inaugural Greater Bay Area Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Awards Ceremony was held simultaneously via live video link across Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Macao on October 29, 2020. The event aimed to recognize promising young entrepreneurs with competitive advantages in the region and honor their contributions and achievements to the Greater Bay Area's development.

The Hong Kong ceremony took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The competition received over 500 applications from across the Greater Bay Area, with 78 young entrepreneurs ultimately selected for six prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Young Entrepreneur title and the Best Entrepreneurship Award.

Distinguished guests at the Hong Kong venue included:

• Mr. Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong SAR Government;
• Mr. Tan Tieniu, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong;
• Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Founding Chairman of the Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance,

They delivered speeches praising the winners' accomplishments and the region's entrepreneurial spirit.

In Shenzhen and Macao, Mr. Ai Xuefeng, Vice Mayor of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, and Mr. Lei Wai Nong, Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao SAR Government, respectively addressed local audiences and extended their congratulations to the award recipients.
