On December 18, 2017, the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneur Alliance held a grand inaugural ceremony in Qianhai, Guangdong. Liang Zhenying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, served as the main guest of honor and awarded the plaque to Cai Guanshen, Chairman of the Alliance. More than 200 business representatives from Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, and Jiangmen attended the establishment ceremony and inauguration ceremony.

At the historical node of the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic ties between China and Japan, Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union held a large summit for between Chinese and Japanese entrepreneurs on September 29, which is to commemorate the 50th anniversary and provide a high-end, effective platform for mainland government, and GBA and Japanese entrepreneurs. Under the theme of mutual benefit, more than 200 business representatives discussed how to better contribute to the world economic recovery and "dual circulation" strategy and sought business opportunities.
