Brief Summary

The construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area) is a national strategy personally planned, deployed, and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping. It is a new measure to promote the formation of a new pattern of comprehensive opening up in the new era, and also a new practice to promote the development of the "one country, two systems" cause.

The Greater Bay Area includes the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macau Special Administrative Region, and Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province, with a total area of 56000 square kilometers.
