On October 10, 2023, the State Council released a white paper on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which was launched a decade ago to boost cross-border infrastructure development and inter-regional connectivity.
Vice Minister Guo Tingting said, Ministry of commerce will mainly support from four aspects as below: First, build a new pattern of opening up, deepen national trade cooperation, attract foreign investment, and build a higher-standard free trade areas; second, improve the transportation efficiency of China-Europe freight trains and the communication mechanism of service trade; third, cultivate new drivers of economic growth, and promote key projects and small and beautiful projects; fourth, implement the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, will support enterprises in Hong Kong and Macao to participate in the construction of "Belt and Road".
