The first council meeting of the sixth China Overseas Friendship Association was held in Beijing on November 18. Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Sunwah Group, was elected as the Vice President during the conference.

On November 8, the Hong Kong and Macao Work Office of the Central Committee and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council held the “2024 Hong Kong Business Community Symposium” in Shenzhen. The meeting was attended by Mr. Xia Baolong, Director of both offices, Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive of HKSAR, and 29 prominent figures from Hong Kong's business sector.

On the evening of November 7th, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Sunwah Group, met with Mr. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Chairman of the CCPIT Mediation Center, in Hong Kong. They held in-depth discussions on promoting exchanges between the legal communities of the mainland and HK and advancing the development of cross-border mediation services.
