This year coincides with the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE. On July 5, China-UAE Economic,Trade & Investment Conference(Greater Bay Area) was held in Qianhai, Shenzhen. 300 government officials, business leaders, experts and scholars from China and the UAE gathered together to discuss how to seize new opportunities for China-UAE cooperation, revitalize the external circulation of enterprises in the Greater Bay Area, contribute to the high-quality development of the Bay Area, and jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative.

On July 1, Portuguese Ambassador to China Paolo Nascimento met in Beijing with Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, Chinese General Chamber of Commerce(CGCC) and Sunwah Group. They had in-depth exchanges on people-to-people exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges and other fields.

After the visit to Chongqing, Dr. Jonathan Choi led the delegation of the CGCC to continue the visit to Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Sichuan Province Vice Governor Zuo Yongxiang, Province Party Standing Committee Member and United Front Work Department Minister Zhao Junmin and Chengdu Mayor Wang Fengchao, met with the delegation and discussed how to further combine the advantages of Sichuan and Hong Kong and jointly promote more extensive exchanges and cooperation.

From June 23 to 27, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, Chinese General Chamber of Commerce(CGCC) and Sunwah Group, visited Chongqing with the delegation. Mr. Li Mingqing, Deputy Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, and Mrs.Lu Hong, Minister of the United Front Work Department, met with Dr. Choi. The delegation held a Chongqing-Hong Kong entrepreneurs forum with Chongqing Federation of Industry and Commerce, and visited the hub port industrial Park, Science City, and intelligent and automobile industries.

On June 20, Professor Narumon Piñosinwat, Thai Trade Representative and Adviser to the Prime Minister, met with Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and Sunwah Group, and his delegation at the Prime Minister's Office.They held in-depth exchanges on promoting Thailand-China transport connectivity and investment cooperation in infrastructure, trade and professional services.
