On the evening of 2 October, organised by the preparatory committee for HK compatriots celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and co-organised by the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Home Affairs Department of the HK SAR Government, the "National Day Gala" was solemnly held at the Hong Kong Coliseum .

On September 16, the ASEAN Leadership and Partnership Forum 2024 (ALPF) was held in Laos . Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Sunwah Group, was awarded the "Outstanding ASEAN Entrepreneur Lifetime Achievement Award" by the organizer for his outstanding performance in the business field, outstanding leadership in corporate social responsibility and outstanding contribution to the ASEAN region.
