On March 22, 2026, the celebration marking the 9th anniversary of the Guangdong-H K-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and the 10th anniversary of the Shenzhen Qianhai Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce was grandly held in Qianhai, Shenzhen. In his keynote speech, Leung Chun-ying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), stressed: "Never before in the world have there been two cities with such large economic scales and such close proximity that have achieved such remarkable accomplishments through decades of continuous cooperation and integration. This stands as a model for global regional economic synergy!"
Alliance Chairman Dr. Jonathan Choi reviewed the journey of struggle since the establishment of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and the Shenzhen Qianhai Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce. He noted that they have evolved into the most active high-level industrial and commercial organizations in the Greater Bay Area, boasting extensive connections with political and business circles at home and abroad and branches in multiple ASEAN and Middle Eastern countries. These entities have become a powerful platform supporting the country's high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area and bridging China with the world.
At the anniversary celebration, the "Shenzhen-Hong Kong Industrial Collaborative Development Committee" and the "Specialized, Refined, Unique, and New Special Board – Shenzhen-Hong Kong Joint Innovation Zone" were officially inaugurated.
That afternoon, two seminars on the Northern Metropolis and APEC economic and trade cooperation were also held.
