ReturnOn September 10, 2025, H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, led a delegation of entrepreneurs from the Cambodian Oknha Association to visit the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce(CGCC). The delegation attended the "Cambodia-Greater Bay Area High-Quality Development and Cooperation Seminar" during their trip to Hong Kong for the 10th Belt and Road Summit.
The seminar was co-organized by the CGCC, the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, and the Cambodian Oknha Association. Nearly 50 entrepreneur representatives from the Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area and Cambodia attended the event.
Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the CGCC and GBA Entrepreneurs Alliance, emphasized that Hong Kong serves as a "super-connector," "super-investor," and "super-operator." He highlighted HK's potential to play an even greater role in promoting economic, trade, and investment cooperation between China—particularly the Greater Bay Area—and Cambodia.
Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol proposed that the Council for the Development of Cambodia and the Cambodian Oknha Association sign memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with the CGCC and the GBA Entrepreneurs Alliance respectively, to facilitate smoother investment operations for entrepreneurs in Cambodia.
