ReturnOn October 28, 2024, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) successfully elected the new chairman . Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of GBA Entrepreneurs Alliance and Sunwah Group, was re-elected as the 54th Chairman.
Dr. Choi joined the CGCC in 1997 and served as the Director, Managing Director and Vice Chairman. In October 2008, Dr. Choi was elected as the Chairman of CGCC for the first time and served successively as the Chairman of the 46th and 47th (2008-2012), 50th and 51st (2016-2020) and 53rd (2022-2024) and was awarded the Permanent Hon Chairman of CGCC. Dr. Choi is currently Standing Committee Member of CPPCC and was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2021. Dr. Choi has held a number of public offices in various fields and has been dedicated to promoting business links between Hong Kong, the Mainland and East Asia.
The new Board of Directors will officially take office in November.
