Dr. Jonathan Choi Leads Delegation to Cambodia, Meets Prime Minister Hun Manet to Deepen Win-Win Cooperation.

From August 6 to 9, 2026, Dr. Jonathan Choi, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC, Chairman of the Alliance, and President of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, led a delegation of nearly 50 business leaders from the Greater Bay Area on a visit to Cambodia. The delegation was received by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, and also met with H.E. Wang Wenbin, the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia. During the visit, the delegation hosted the "Greater Bay Area Synergy · Expanding Horizons – China-Cambodia Industrial Cooperation Forum," and visited the Canadia Group, the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, and the Autonomous Port of Sihanoukville.

Focusing on emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, green energy, and healthcare, the visit aimed to capitalize on Cambodia's improving business environment, infrastructure, and security. The trip established long-term government-business dialogue channels, finalized cooperation across multiple sectors, and accelerated the implementation of 10 key projects. By integrating resources in industrial parks, logistics, and legal services, a one-stop overseas expansion service chain was created to foster deep integration of Greater Bay Area industries and technologies with the Cambodian market, thereby deepening pragmatic bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

The delegation, organized by the Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, comprised elite business leaders from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Their businesses spanned diverse sectors including AI, technology innovation, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, modern agriculture, healthcare, education and training, and cross-border logistics.
