On the morning of November 21, 2025, the 2025 Yunnan-HK-Macao Entrepreneurs Forum, themed "Yunnan-Hong Kong-Macao Collaboration to Explore New Collaborative Opportunities," was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province. The forum was hosted by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government , with co-organizers including the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance and the the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce(CGCC). It aimed to further deepen economic, trade, and industrial collaboration between Yunnan and the Greater Bay Area.
Mr. Wang Ning, Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Mr. Wang Yubo, Deputy Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Committee and Governor, presided over the ceremony. Attendees delivering speeches included: Mrs. Carrie Lam, the fifth-term Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce(CGCC) and Sunwah Group; Yuen Ka-lok, Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Chengdu; and Han Jing, Director of the Regional Cooperation Department of the Policy Research and Regional Development Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
Following the opening ceremony, the forum concurrently held five parallel corporate dialogue sessions. These sessions focused on the resource advantages and future development potential of the three regions, providing a platform for entrepreneurs to engage in face-to-face exchanges. The event also included arrangements for business inspection tours.
