Dr. Jonathan Choi visits Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to boost regional cooperation.
On 26 July, in conjunction with the visit of Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive of HKSAR, to Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, and to strengthen economic, trade and investment co-operation between HK and ASEAN countries, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) , the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union and Sunwah Group, went to Malaysia. Dr.Choi met with local political and business leaders, including Mr.Zheng Likang, Minister of Science and Technology, Mr.Lu Zhaofu, Minister of Transport, Mr.Ni Kemin, Minister of Housing and Local Government, Mr.Chen Guowei, Member of parliament, Mr.Wu Tianquan, Chairman of Malaysian Chinese City Hall General Assembly. Dr.Choi also visited Mr.Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador of China to Malaysia, and had in-depth discussions on strengthening friendly exchanges and business cooperation, supporting HK's application for RCEP membership, and multi-field cooperation between the Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area and ASEAN.
