ReturnOn the afternoon of June 26, Yahefu Paidula, Deputy Secretary of the Urumqi Municipal Committee and Mayor of Urumqi, met with a delegation led by Dr. Jonathan Choi at Urumqi Municipal Government. Dr. Choi is a Member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Alliance, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong, and Chairman of Sunwah Group. The delegation was in Urumqi to attend the 9th China-Eurasia Expo. The two sides exchanged views on project implementation and the promotion of trade cooperation with Central Asian countries.
Mayor Yahefu expressed his hope that Sunwah Group and the Alliance would leverage their connectivity advantages with Central Asian countries to boost trade cooperation between Urumqi and the region. He also suggested extending the exhibition and sales functions of the China-Eurasia Expo by establishing dedicated centers for AI technology, embodied intelligence, green building materials, and other related fields.
